An important milestone for the new fire and rescue station in Göttingen: on October 9, the foundation stone was laid in a ceremony attended by numerous guests. The ceremony marked the start of a construction project that will provide the Göttingen professional fire brigade, the ambulance service and the Sartorius AG plant fire brigade with a modern operational base in future.

Mayor Petra Broistedt highlighted the importance of the new building for the work of the fire service and ambulance service. Jens Düwel, Managing Director of GWG, emphasised the client’s commitment to sustainable, functional and future-proof planning.

RSE+ is responsible for the project’s planning as the lead designer. Hermanns HTI-Bau GmbH & Co. KG is carrying out the construction work as the main contractor.
