One of the region’s most modern logistics facilities is being built in the Malsfeld-Ostheim industrial park, right off the A7. A high-bay warehouse visible from afar, with space for approximately 16,500 products, is being constructed on a site of about 35,000 square meters.
From here, around 500 EDEKA Hessenring stores in northern and central Hesse as well as western Thuringia will be supplied with dry goods in the future—serving more than 4 million people. In addition to modern OPM and AIO warehouses, the new logistics complex also includes CPS and HRL areas in a silo design, as well as a mezzanine level with staff facilities featuring a cafeteria, offices, and technical areas.
In about three years, this significant investment for the company and the region will be completed—and create approximately 200 new jobs.
