Polo Motorrad und Sportswear GmbH was located in an old industrial area in Dusseldorf, together with its warehouse, processing area and other functional areas. The current and future requirements for storage capacities and processes, as well as the necessary flexibility of use, could no longer be implemented at the existing location. While maintaining many existing and extremely efficient core processes, it was possible to map the planned growth in a consistent and holistic logistics concept through the specific scaling of the warehouse and by taking partial automation approaches into account. The project started with the concept development (location master planning), and we comprehensively supported and implemented it up to commissioning.

5,000 pallet spaces in the narrow aisle warehouse, 27,500 shelves in the shelving system with 3 modules, each covering 4 levels, up to 500 picks per employee and hour, up to 20,000 picks per shift, 5,000 m container conveyor technology, 2,400 containers/hour from the shelving system
