In order to improve event offer at Walkemühle, Frankenberg, a festival barn accommodating 140-150 people was added to the existing ensemble. The wooden supporting structure can be experienced as a fully visible element that shapes the space, and the large-format window door openings were provided with the exterior sliding doors typical of barns. The festival barn is connected to the existing kitchen block of the Walkemühle restaurant via a smaller intermediate building. A new outside cover enhances the existing south-facing view towards the beer garden.
