The feasibility study for the main branch of Kreissparkasse Tuttlingen examines the further development of the existing building with the aim of strengthening the planned campus in terms of function and design.
The central design approach is to reorganise the previously fragmented structures into a clear, coherent overall building. Along Bahnhofstraße, a discreet, timeless façade is being created that forms a striking counterpart to the SparkassenForum.
A particular highlight is the superstructure of the deeply recessed light well: a spacious atrium with a filigree glass roof creates a new spatial centre and enhances internal orientation. The slender post-and-beam façade gives the interior a clear structure and transparency. On Campusplatz, a curved glass façade welcomes visitors and intuitively guides them to the main entrances.
The façade design echoes the colour and proportions of the forum and integrates large-format, PV-active glass panels in combination with dark window bands. The result is a modern, sustainable building ensemble that makes a forward-looking statement in the cityscape.
