The city of Tuttlingen planned the construction of an Innovation and Research Center for Tuttlingen University. The freestanding four-story new building with partial basement was constructed in reinforced concrete. The brick-clad facade along the street follows the gently curved shape of the building line. The entrance to the rear Bürgerpark opens in a funnel-shaped manner onto the square that is situated in front of the new building. This forecourt was also redesigned and prepared as part of the project.
